This song is from one of the most popular Hindu Devotional albums in Malayalam - "Mayilpeeli' and starts with the sacred sloka from 'Narayaneeyam'. Gana Gandharvan Shri Yesudas had rendered it with his heart. When I went for audition at the BMG Crescendo studio in 2004, they asked me to sing a devotional song, and I immediately chose this one since I have been hearing and loving this song from my childhood days. 'Ananthabhadram', directed by India's ace cameraman Santhosh Sivan was a movie with total freshness. Brilliant photography and music have been highlights of this film. This song is set to raaga 'Nattakurinji' which is rarely used in film songs, and hence has a different tone altogether.
